Ozarka College at Mountain View was a full house Saturday, March 1, as area women attended the 12th annual Ladies' Luncheon presented by the Ozarka College Foundation. Event hosts included Mountain View Campus Director, Kim Lovelace and Director of Development, April Killian.
Kim Lovelace and April Killian, with the help of Ozarka staff, beautifully transformed the student center atrium into a vibrant display of pink and burgundy flowers in celebration of Ozarka's 50th anniversary. Guests also enjoyed a fun photo booth opportunity and received gifts generously provided by Sarah Butler of Fringe Salon, Townsend Spice and Supply, GTS, Lee Ann Thomas of ReMax Realty, First Security Bank, White River Health, Legacy Lending, Mountain Thyme Mercantile, and Mellon's Country Store.
This year's presenting sponsors included White River Health, First National Bank of Izard County, and Farm Bureau Insurance - Tim Wilson. We also extend our gratitude to our corporate sponsors: Centennial Bank, The Bunk House, The Law Office of Lisa Baker Gibbs, First Service Bank, Dustin Stewart-Shelter Insurance, Lee Ann Thomas of ReMax Realty, The UPS Store, Mtn. View Chevrolet, and State Farm - Ric Wilcox.
Guests were treated to a delicious meal prepared by the Ozarka Culinary Department, featuring grilled chicken salad paired with breadsticks and an assortment of cheesecake petit fours. Adding to the excitement, Tim Wilson delighted attendees by appearing in character as Monty Hall from the game show "Let's Make a Deal, " engaging the crowd in a lively quest to find items and win prizes.
The event also featured over 50 silent auction items generously donated by area merchants. We owe a special thanks to Glen Swafford, who served as auctioneer for the live auction, which showcased seven delectable cheesecakes prepared by the Ozarka College Culinary Arts Department. The evening's atmosphere was further enhanced by live music from Pam Setser, Crystal McCool, and Kay Thomas.
"Kim Lovelace and the foundation board members from Mountain View did an excellent job with the event," said April Killian, director of advancement at Ozarka College. "We are overjoyed by the community support for this annual fundraiser at our Mountain View campus."
Proceeds from the event benefit Ozarka College students and the Ozarka College - Mountain View campus. For more information about the Ozarka College Foundation contact us at foundation@ozarka.edu or at 870-368-2059.
