Ozarka College at Mountain View was a full house Saturday, March 18, as area women attended the tenth annual Ladies' Luncheon and Spring Fashion Show presented by the Ozarka College Foundation. Event hosts included Mountain View Campus Director, Kim Lovelace and Foundation Board member Michelle Atchison.
Kim Lovelace, Ozarka College at Mountain View campus director, assisted by her staff and the College's Advancement Department, transformed the student center atrium into a field of daisies, with brightly colored place settings, and table gifts provided by Sarah Butler, of Fringe Salon and Townsend Spice and Supply.
This year's presenting sponsor was Stone County Medical Center. The Skillet served a savory spring quiche, which was complemented by a beautiful, tossed salad and homemade yeast roll. Attendees also competed for more than 50 silent auction items donated by area merchants. Tim Wilson served as auctioneer for the live auction featuring six cheesecakes prepared by the Ozarka College Culinary Arts students.
Michelle Atchison served as emcee for the fashion show, which included spring looks and accessories from Artsy Roots, Blame it on My Roots, Melons, Wallace Woodwork, Wild Arrow, and Zen + Zeus. Several women from the community modeled in the show.
"Kim Lovelace and the foundation board members from Mountain View did an excellent job with the event," said Suellen Davidson, director of advancement at Ozarka College. "We are overjoyed by the community support for this annual fundraiser at our Mountain View campus."
Proceeds from the event benefit Ozarka College students and the Ozarka College - Mountain View campus. For more information about the Ozarka College Foundation contact us at foundation@ozarka.edu or at 870-368-2060.
