Registered Nursing Instructor

Ozarka College is seeking applications for Registered Nursing Instructor. The Registered Nursing Instructor, acting under the direction of the Director of Nursing Programs, ensures excellence in teaching and learning by providing high quality, relevant, and valued instruction in their assigned classes within an Associate of Applied Science program.  Responsibilities include instruction, course development, clinicals, participation in campus committees and activities, developing student internships, and other duties as assigned. This is an eleven-month position to begin August 2023.

Position Specific:

• Planning, implementing, and evaluating curricula.
• Demonstrating and encouraging high standards of professional nursing practice.
• Collaborating with the Director in the development, assessment, and revision of all aspects of the program.
• Encourage students to participate in professional organizations to enhance their learning.
• Obtain and coordinate clinical or internship sites for students if applicable.
• Maintain accurate student records.
• Provide leadership, direction and oversight to all assigned program course offerings.
• Work effectively with the Director of Nursing Programs and Division Chair of Allied Health to develop, enhance, and promote curriculum and the program.
• Work effectively with colleagues for continued growth and quality of assigned programs.
• Effectively advise and register Ozarka College students.
• Serve on Ozarka College committees as assigned to assist in providing programs and services that develop and enhance students as members of the college community.
• Perform all duties and responsibilities of an Ozarka College faculty member as outlined in a timely and effective manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse with a current unencumbered license to practice in Arkansas.
• Three years of clinical nursing experience providing comprehensive nursing care.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program/institution.
• Current knowledge of practice.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Demonstrated commitment to learning.

• Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
